Uses

• Treatment of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) infections
  • Cold sores, genital herpes
• Herpes Zoster (Shingles)
• Chickenpox (Varicella)
• Helps reduce the severity, duration, and spread of viral infections

How It Works

• Acyclovir is an antiviral drug.
• It works by stopping the multiplication of the virus, thereby reducing infection spread and helping faster recovery.
• It does not cure herpes but controls symptoms and reduces outbreaks.

Side Effects (possible)

• Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain
• Headache, dizziness
• Fatigue
• Rash or itching
• Rare: kidney issues (especially if not well hydrated)

Precautions

• Drink plenty of water to avoid kidney problems.

• Not a cure for herpes — the virus may remain dormant in the body.
