Aerocort Rotacaps is a medication containing Beclomethasone and Levosalbutamol. It belongs to a class of medicines known as anti-asthmatic drugs, primarily used to help manage symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medication helps in relieving common symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness, which occur due to the narrowing of airways.

It is important to use Aerocort Rotacaps daily as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is for inhalation only. Do not stop using Aerocort Rotacaps without consulting your doctor, even if your symptoms improve. It is suitable for use in adults and children aged 4 years and above.

Please note that Aerocort Rotacaps is not intended to relieve sudden or acute asthma attacks. For sudden breathing problems, contact your doctor immediately or use a fast-acting rescue inhaler as advised.

Before starting Aerocort Rotacaps, inform your doctor if you have any existing lung infections, liver or kidney problems, or heart conditions. It is also important to mention if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, seizures, thyroid problems, or if you are currently taking or have recently taken any other steroid medications.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, Aerocort Rotacaps should only be used if specifically recommended by your physician. Common side effects associated with Aerocort Rotacaps include headache, common cold symptoms, oral thrush or sores, throat irritation, hoarse voice, dizziness, and a fast heart rate. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects become bothersome or worsen.

Uses:

  1. To manage and control the symptoms of asthma.
  2. For the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  3. To relieve wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness that results from narrowed airways.

Directions of Use

To use Aerocort Rotacaps, always follow your doctor's instructions precisely. This medicine is for inhalation into the lungs through your mouth only; do not inhale it through your nose. It is crucial to use Aerocort Rotacaps every day as directed by your physician until they advise you to stop.

Your doctor will provide specific instructions on the number of inhalations and the dosing frequency. Make sure to understand and follow these guidelines carefully.

After each inhalation, it is important to rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out, or brush your teeth. This helps to reduce the risk of potential side effects like oral thrush.

Ensure you have been properly instructed by your doctor or healthcare provider on how to use Aerocort Rotacaps correctly before beginning treatment.
