Alciflox TZ Tablet 10s

• Composition:
  • Ciprofloxacin 500 mg
  • Tinidazole 600 mg
• Uses:
  • Bacterial diarrhoea / dysentery
  • Gastrointestinal infections with mixed bacteria + anaerobic/protozoal organisms
  • Abdominal infections
  • Urinary tract, respiratory, skin and soft-tissue bacterial infections
  • Broad-spectrum action for mixed infections
• How It Works:
  • Ciprofloxacin kills bacteria by blocking DNA replication
  • Tinidazole kills anaerobic bacteria and parasites by damaging DNA
• How to Take:
  • Take with or after food
  • Swallow whole with water
  • Complete full course even if symptoms improve
  • Avoid dairy/antacids within 2 hours of dosage (reduces ciprofloxacin absorption)
• Side Effects:
  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Stomach pain
  • Metallic taste
  • Headache, dizziness
  • Loss of appetite
  • Occasionally diarrhoea or fatigue
• Precautions:
  • No alcohol during treatment and for at least 72 hours after last dose
  • Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding unless advised
  • Caution in patients with kidney or liver problems
  • Avoid if history of tendon issues, seizures, neuropathy
  • Not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed
  • Stop and seek help if severe allergies, tendon pain, numbness or persistent diarrhoea occur
• General Advice:
  • Drink enough water
  • Do not skip doses or stop midway
  • Not useful for viral infections like cold/flu
