The Aprezo 20mg Tablet contains Apremilast 20mg, a medicine belonging to a class called Phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitors. Aprezo 20mg Tablet is prescribed for adults to help manage active psoriatic arthritis, a chronic inflammatory joint disease, especially when other disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs haven't been sufficient.

Additionally, Aprezo 20mg Tablet is used to manage moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory skin condition, particularly when treatments like phototherapy or systemic therapies (such as ciclosporin, methotrexate, or psoralen) have not adequately managed the disease. This medicine is also indicated for adults to manage Behçet's disease, a rare inflammatory disorder affecting blood vessels and tissues.

Do not take Aprezo 20mg Tablet if you are allergic to Apremilast. Before starting Aprezo 20mg Tablet, it is important to inform your doctor if you are underweight, have existing gut problems, an intolerance to certain sugars (like lactose), or if you have kidney or liver conditions, including severe kidney disease or hepatic impairment.

Aprezo 20mg Tablet is generally not advised for use during pregnancy or for women who are planning to become pregnant. It is also not recommended for breastfeeding mothers, as it is unknown whether the active ingredient, Apremilast 20mg, passes into breast milk.

This medicine is generally not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Elderly patients (aged 65 years or above) should use Aprezo 20mg Tablet with caution and after consulting their doctor.

Common side effects associated with Aprezo 20mg Tablet include stomach pain, loss of appetite, indigestion, heartburn, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, and headache. If any of these side effects become bothersome or worsen, please consult your doctor.
