Augentin ES Suspension 50ml is an antibiotic medicine used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. These include infections of the middle ear and sinuses, respiratory tract, genital tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues (like dental infections), bones and joints, septic abortion, and abdominal infections. Symptoms of a bacterial infection often include fever, difficulty breathing, pus formation, and pain.

This medication contains a combination of Amoxycillin 600mg and Potassium Clavulanate 42.9mg. Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that works by preventing bacterial growth, while Clavulanic acid helps Amoxicillin work more effectively against bacteria that might otherwise be resistant. Together, they help clear up the infection.

Do not use Augentin ES Suspension 50ml if you have a history of allergic reactions to penicillin, cephalosporins, or any other beta-lactam antibiotics, or any other ingredients in this medicine. It is also not recommended if you have a history of liver problems (jaundice or hepatic dysfunction) related to amoxicillin-clavulanate use.

Before taking Augentin ES Suspension 50ml, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems. This medicine should be used with caution during pregnancy and only if clearly needed. For breastfeeding women, use with caution. Special care is advised when using Augentin ES Suspension 50ml in children under 12 years of age and elderly patients over 50 years.

Common side effects of Augentin ES Suspension 50ml include diarrhea, thrush (a fungal infection in the mouth, skin folds, or vagina), nausea, and vomiting. If any of these symptoms worsen or persist, contact your doctor immediately.
