Azithral 250mg Tablet is an antibiotic medication used to treat a variety of mild to moderate bacterial infections. This includes common chest, throat, and nasal infections like bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sore throat, and sinusitis. It is also effective in managing ear infections and skin and soft tissue infections such as abscesses or boils.
Each Azithral 250mg Tablet contains Azithromycin 250mg, an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria, thereby helping to clear the infection.
Do not take Azithral 250mg Tablet if you are allergic to Azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics (like erythromycin or clarithromycin), ketolide antibiotics, or if you have a history of liver problems such as cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
Before starting management with Azithral 250mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions like diabetes, myasthenia gravis (a condition causing muscle weakness), heart problems, or kidney problems. Your doctor will assess if this medication is suitable for you.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning a pregnancy, should use Azithral 250mg Tablet only if clearly advised by their doctor. The medication should be used with caution during breastfeeding as it is not known if Azithromycin 250mg passes into breast milk.

Side effects
