About Beclofine N 15g Cream
Type: Topical medication for skin conditions
Uses:
Provides relief from inflammatory skin conditions often associated with bacterial infections. Beclofine N 15g helps soothe discomfort.
Reduces swelling, redness, and stiffness. It contains a combination of Beclomethasone 0.025%w/v+Neomycin 0.5%w/w, an anti-inflammatory and an antibiotic.
How to Use Beclofine N 15g:
Clean and dry the affected skin area thoroughly before applying.
Apply a thin layer of Beclofine N 15g cream to the affected area 23 times daily, or as advised by your healthcare provider.
Gently massage the cream until it is fully absorbed into the skin.
Uses:
- Eczema: Including atopic eczema, infantile eczema, and discoid eczema.
- Dermatitis: Such as contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and neurodermatitis.
- Psoriasis: Especially localized forms where secondary bacterial infection is a concern.
- Allergic Skin Reactions: Where inflammation and itching are prominent, and there's a risk of secondary bacterial infection.
- Insect Bite Reactions: To reduce inflammation and prevent infection.
Directions of Use
Instructions for Using Beclofine N 15g
- Prepare the Area: Ensure the affected skin area is clean and completely dry before application.
- Apply the Cream: Squeeze a small amount of Beclofine N 15g cream onto your fingertip. Apply a very thin layer directly onto the affected skin.
- Massage Gently: Gently rub the cream into the skin until it is evenly distributed and absorbed. Do not rub vigorously.
- Frequency: Apply Beclofine N 15g 2 to 3 times daily, or exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration.
- Wash Hands: Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying the cream, unless your hands are the area being treated.
- Avoid Contact: Take care to avoid getting the cream into your eyes, mouth, nostrils, or on open wounds. If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Duration: Use Beclofine N 15g only for the prescribed period. Long-term use of corticosteroids can lead to skin thinning and other side effects.
Side effects
Possible Side Effects of Beclofine N 15g
Like all medicines, Beclofine N 15g can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Most side effects are mild and temporary. If any of the following side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor:
- Burning sensation or stinging at the application site
- Itching or irritation of the skin
- Dryness or redness of the skin
- Skin thinning (especially with prolonged use)
- Increased hair growth in the treated area
- Changes in skin color
- Stretch marks (striae)
- Allergic skin reactions (rash, hives)
If you notice any other side effects not listed here, or if you experience a severe allergic reaction (e.g., swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing), seek immediate medical attention.
