Bonshine Capsule 60k contains Cholecalciferol, also known as Vitamin D3 60000IU. This medicine is a form of vitamin D used to address and manage vitamin D deficiency in the body. It is also prescribed for certain bone conditions, such as osteoporosis (thinning of the bone), often alongside other treatments.
A lack of vitamin D can happen if your diet or lifestyle doesn't provide enough of it, or if your body needs more, for example, during pregnancy.
Your doctor may suggest consuming foods rich in calcium along with this treatment. Blood tests may be recommended before starting treatment to assess your current condition.
Do not take Bonshine Capsule 60k if you have very high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia) or urine (hypercalciuria), severe liver or kidney problems, kidney stones, or a history of forming kidney stones. It should also be avoided if you have very high levels of vitamin D in your blood (hypervitaminosis D).
Before starting Bonshine Capsule 60k, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, sarcoidosis (an inflammatory condition affecting various organs), or if you are taking other medicines or supplements containing vitamin D.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Bonshine Capsule 60k with caution, as excessive vitamin D could potentially harm the baby. This medicine is generally suitable for children and adolescents aged 12 years and older. Always consult your doctor if you experience any unusual side effects while taking this medicine.
Uses:
- Helps to correct and prevent vitamin D deficiency.
- Assists in the management of osteoporosis (thinning of the bone) and other related bone conditions, often as part of a broader treatment plan.
Directions of Use

Side effects
Like all medicines, Bonshine Capsule 60k can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most common side effects are related to having too much calcium in the body. If you experience any of the following, consult your doctor immediately:
- Increased calcium in the blood (Hypercalcaemia): Signs include nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomachache, feeling very thirsty, muscle weakness, drowsiness, or confusion.
- Increased calcium in the urine (Hypercalciuria): This may be detected by urine tests.
If you notice any other unusual effects, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
