CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET contains Verapamil which belongs to the group of medicines called Calcium channel blockers. It is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure), manage chest pain (angina). It is also used to manage certain types of abnormal heartbeats.
CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET is not recommended for use if you have heart failure or severe problems with the heart rhythms, recent history of heart attack, slow heart rate, low blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking it.
CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET should be used with caution in patients who had a heart attack, cardiomyopathy (a disease of the heart muscle), kidney failure, liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.
CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless it is considered clearly necessary and CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. The most common side effects of taking CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET are headache, dizziness, slow heartbeat, low blood pressure, flushing, constipation, nausea, swelling of the limbs. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

Directions of Use
Take CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking CALAPTIN 120 SR TABLET until your doctor tells you to stop. Otherwise, your condition may get worse.
