Calciquick D3 1k capsule contains Cholecalciferol, also known as Vitamin D3 1000IU. This medicine is a form of vitamin D used to address vitamin D deficiency and support bone health, particularly in conditions like osteoporosis (thinning of the bone). It may be prescribed alongside other medications.
Vitamin D deficiency can occur if your diet or lifestyle doesn't provide enough vitamin D, or if your body needs more, such as during pregnancy.
Your doctor might recommend a diet rich in calcium and may conduct blood tests before starting treatment to assess your current vitamin D levels.
Do not take Calciquick D3 1k capsule if you have very high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia) or urine (hypercalciuria), liver problems, kidney failure, kidney stones, a tendency to form kidney stones, or high vitamin D levels in your blood (hypervitaminosis).
Before using Calciquick D3 1k capsule, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, narrowed arteries, sarcoidosis (a chronic inflammatory condition), or are taking other medicines or foods containing vitamin D.
Use Calciquick D3 1k capsule with caution if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as excessive vitamin D could be harmful to the baby. This medicine is suitable for children and adolescents aged 12 and above. Always consult your doctor if you experience any unusual side effects during treatment.

Directions of Use

For Capsules: Swallow the Calciquick D3 1k capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
For other forms (like orally disintegrating tablets/strips or chewable tablets), follow specific instructions provided by your doctor or the product leaflet. Generally, orally disintegrating tablets or strips are placed beneath the tongue to dissolve, and chewable tablets are chewed before swallowing.
Side effects
While taking Calciquick D3 1k capsule, some individuals may experience side effects, especially if calcium levels become too high. Consult your doctor if you notice any of the following:
- Increased calcium in the blood (Hypercalcaemia): Signs may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach ache, feeling very thirsty, muscle weakness, drowsiness, or confusion.
- Increased calcium in the urine (Hypercalciuria): This condition may not have obvious symptoms but can be detected through urine tests.
If you experience any of these or other unusual symptoms, please contact your doctor immediately. Do not exceed the prescribed dose of Calciquick D3 1k capsule without consulting your physician.
