Carmicide Adult Syrup is a medicine that is used to make urine alkaline or less acidic. It also helps manage formation of kidney stones and onset of gout and to manage acidosis during kidney disease. Carmicide Adult Syrup contains Sodium citrate and citric acid as the main ingredients.

Carmicide Adult Syrup contains Citric acid is a urinary alkalinizer and is used to make the urine alkaline and less acidic. Sodium citrate is absorbed and gets metabolized to sodium bicarbonate which is used as a synthetic alkalizer. Hence both the components act together to decrease the acidity of the urine.

Carmicide Adult Syrup is not recommended for use in patients with severe impairment of kidney function and associated absence of urination (anuria). In addition, it should be used with caution in patients with congestive heart failure, increased blood pressure, diarrhea, pulmonary and peripheral edema or toxemia of pregnancy.

It should not be used with caution in children below 2 years of age. Take it as advised by your doctor and do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
