CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET is used in the management of bacterial infections in children. It contains a powerful antibiotic called Cefixime which effectively reduces progression of the infections especially in infections of the ear, nose, throat, sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract and genital tract infections and biliary tract injection, and genital tract. It can also be used in the management of typhoid fever.

Take CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET for the stipulated duration instructed by your doctor even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy to achieve better results. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.

CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET is suitable for use both in adults and in children aged 10 years or older. However, consult your doctor for advice before taking it. Before taking CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any stomach problems or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET as a precaution.

The most common side effects of taking CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and bloating. Inform your doctor if they trouble you.


Uses:

  1. Ear infections (Ex. otitis media)
  2. Sinus infections (such as sinusitis)
  3. Throat infections (such as tonsillitis and pharyngitis)
  4. Respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia)
  5. Urinary tract infections (such as cystitis and kidney infections)
  6. Genital tract infections (such as gonorrhoea)
  7. Stomach and biliary tract infections (such as cholecystitis)
  8. Typhoid fever

Directions of Use

Take CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food.

For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the medicine immediately after reconstitution.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight, and severity of the infection.

Do not stop taking CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET once your symptoms subside. It is important to take CEFOLAC DT 50MG TABLET for the stipulated duration recommended by your doctor to achieve control over the infection.
