CLAVAM FORTE DRY SYRUP is used to manage bacterial infections such as middle ear and sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections such as dental infections, bone and joint infections, septic abortion (any abortion complicated by uterine infection), and abdominal infections. The symptoms of a bacterial infection may include fever, difficulty breathing, pus formation, and pain.
It contains a combination of medicines called Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It works by preventing the growth of bacteria and helps clear up the infection.
Do not take CLAVAM FORTE DRY SYRUP if you have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, including penicillin and cephalosporins, or any other ingredients of this medicine. It is not recommended for use if you have a history of amoxicillin-clavulanate-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
Before taking CLAVAM FORTE DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if you are suffering from hepatic or renal impairment. This medicine should be used with caution in pregnant women and only when necessary.
In breastfeeding women, it should be used with caution. CLAVAM FORTE DRY SYRUP should be used with caution in children (aged below 12 years) and elderly patients (above 50 years).
The common side effects associated with the use of CLAVAM FORTE DRY SYRUP are diarrhea, thrush (a fungal infection in the vagina, skin folds, or mouth), nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately if any of the symptoms worsen.

Clavam Forte Dry Syrup does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they're likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child's doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. The most common side effects include-
