Cleargel 20g contains Clindamycin (1% w/w), an antibiotic medicine used effectively in the management of acne vulgaris. Acne vulgaris is a common skin condition characterized by hair follicles becoming blocked with oil and dead skin cells, leading to symptoms such as whiteheads, blackheads, small red bumps, pimples, and pus-filled lesions on the skin.

Before using Cleargel 20g, it is important to inform your doctor if you have a history of diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, or pseudomembranous colitis. This medicine, containing Clindamycin 1% w/w, is not recommended if you have a history of regional enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine), ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the large intestine), or antibiotic-associated colitis.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, Cleargel 20g should be used with caution and only if your doctor deems it clearly necessary. The safety and effectiveness of Cleargel 20g in children under the age of 12 have not been established. Common side effects of applying Cleargel 20g may include mild burning, itching, or redness of the skin. If these symptoms worsen or persist, consult your doctor.
