Cosalic Ointment is used in the management of psoriasis vulgaris (rash with itchy, scaly and dry patches), neuro dermatitis (chronic itching or scaling) and hyper keratotic skin condition (increased thickness of outer layer of the skin).

It is also used to manage cracked heals and keratoderma (excessive epidermal thickening). It contains Coal Tar Solution and Salicylic acid as active ingredients that helps in managing psoriasis effectively.

Coal tar works by making the skin to shed the dead cells from the top layer of skin and slows down the cell growth. Salicylic acid sheds the dead skin cells by reducing inflammation (swelling) and redness.

Apply Cosalic Ointment on the affected area as advised by your doctor. Avoid contact with eyes. It is for external use only. Ask your doctor before using Cosalic Ointment for your child.
