Description:
Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet is a combination anti-diabetic medicine used to effectively manage high blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains Dapagliflozin 10mg, Metformin 500mg, and Sitagliptin 100mg. This triple-combination works in different ways: Dapagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess sugar through urine; Metformin reduces sugar production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity; and Sitagliptin increases natural insulin production after meals and reduces sugar production. This comprehensive approach helps improve blood sugar control and lowers the risk of diabetes-related complications.

Directions of Use

To ensure effective management of your type 2 diabetes mellitus with Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet, please follow these instructions carefully:

  • Take Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not alter the dosage or frequency without consulting your doctor.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet, as this may affect its effectiveness.
  • Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will advise if it should be taken with meals for specific reasons.
  • Try to take Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet at the same time each day. This helps maintain a consistent level of medication in your body and maximizes its benefits.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is nearly time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate.
  • Continue taking Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet even if you feel well, as type 2 diabetes requires ongoing management. Do not stop without consulting your doctor.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Dapaturn SM 10mg Tablet (Dapagliflozin 10mg+Metformin 500mg+Sitagliptin 100mg) can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. It is important to be aware of these and to consult your doctor if they are persistent or severe.

Common side effects may include:

  • Increased urination and thirst (due to Dapagliflozin working to remove sugar via urine)
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Genital yeast infections (for both men and women)
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain (often associated with Metformin)
  • Headache
  • Dizziness

Less common but serious side effects include:
