Side effects

Symptoms include weakness, shaking, sweating, drowsiness, dizziness, feeling very anxious, fast heartbeat, hunger, headache, changes in vision, changes in mood or confusion, and irritability.
- Lactic Acidosis: A rare but very serious side effect, particularly if you have kidney problems or consume alcohol. Symptoms include unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain, dizziness, feeling cold, or a very slow or irregular heartbeat. Seek emergency medical attention if these occur.
- Dehydration: Symptoms may include dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint, particularly upon standing.
- Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) or Genital Yeast Infections: These can occur due to increased glucose in urine. Symptoms include burning sensation during urination, frequent urination, cloudy urine, or itching/rash in the genital area.
- Kidney Problems: Worsening kidney function may occur. Your doctor will monitor your kidney health.
- Pancreatitis: Severe stomach pain that might spread to your back, with or without vomiting.
- Allergic Reactions: Symptoms like rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and difficulty breathing.
