Econorm Sachet 250mg contains Saccharomyces boulardii, a probiotic that helps manage various digestive issues. It is primarily used to help manage acute infectious diarrhoea in both adults and children. Econorm Sachet 250mg also aids in managing antibiotic-associated colitis and diarrhoea. Furthermore, when used alongside antibiotics like vancomycin or metronidazole, it helps manage recurrent Clostridium difficile infections (a type of colon infection) and addresses tube-feeding associated diarrhoea. The medicine is also indicated for managing symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), an intestinal disorder.

Econorm Sachet 250mg is not recommended if you are allergic to Saccharomyces boulardii. It should also be avoided by patients with a central venous catheter (a long flexible tube inserted into a vein) or those who are immunocompromised or critically ill in a hospital setting (due to a weakened immune system).

Before using Econorm Sachet 250mg, inform your doctor if you have recently undergone a liver transplant. Econorm Sachet 250mg is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It should be used with caution in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. For elderly patients (65 years and above), consultation with a doctor is advised before use.
