COMPOSITION
Each tablet contains:
Empagliflozin 25 mg
Linagliptin 5 mg

THERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Anti-diabetic medicine (Oral hypoglycemic agent)

INDICATIONS
Used for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults.
Helps improve blood sugar control along with proper diet and exercise.
May be prescribed when single-drug therapy is not sufficient.

MECHANISM OF ACTION
Empagliflozin:
Removes excess glucose from the body through urine by acting on the kidneys.

Linagliptin:
Enhances insulin release after meals.
Reduces glucagon secretion and lowers blood sugar levels.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
Usually taken once daily, with or without food.
Swallow whole with water.
Do not crush or chew.
Take at the same time every day.

MISSED DOSE
Take the missed dose as soon as remembered.
Skip the missed dose if it is close to the next scheduled dose.
Do not double the dose.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
Increased urination
Urinary tract infection
Genital infection
Headache
Nasopharyngitis
Low blood sugar (especially when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas)

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS (Seek immediate medical attention)
Severe abdominal pain (possible pancreatitis)
Signs of allergic reaction (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)
Severe dehydration
Persistent vomiting
Unusual tiredness

PRECAUTIONS
Inform the doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart problems.
Maintain adequate fluid intake.
Monitor blood glucose regularly.
Inform your doctor about all other medicines being taken.
Avoid excessive alcohol intake.

Pregnancy: Use only if prescribed by a doctor.
Breastfeeding: Consult doctor before use.
Elderly patients: Kidney function monitoring is recommended.
