ESLIZEN 400MG TABLET contains Eslicarbazepine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiepileptics. It is used to manage epilepsy and as an adjunctive therapy in adults with partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation. Epilepsy is a central nervous system (neurological) disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behaviour, sensations and sometimes loss of awareness.

ESLIZEN 400MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Eslicarbazepine or who have heart rhythm disorders such as second- or third-degree heart block, severe liver or kidney disease. Before taking ESLIZEN 400MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you had a history of seizures, have pacemaker (device to control heartbeat) and blood problems such as anaemia. ESLIZEN 400MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women only if it is clearly necessary and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

This medicine is not recommended for use in children (below 6 years) and can be used with caution in children and adolescents (from 6 to 18 years) after consulting the doctor. The most common side effects of taking ESLIZEN 400MG TABLET are dizziness, sleepiness, sensation of being unsteady, floating, nausea, vomiting, headache and diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsens.
