FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP contains oseltamivir, which belongs to the group of medicines called antivirals. It is used in adults, adolescents, children, and infants (including full-term new-born babies) for the management of flu (influenza) and also as management management in exceptional circumstances, such as if there is a global flu pandemic and the seasonal flu vaccine may not provide sufficient protection.
FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP can be used when you have flu symptoms, and the flu virus is known to be spreading in your community. It can also be used to manage flu in adults, adolescents, children, and infants above 1 year of age, but only if you have been in contact with someone affected by flu.
FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP should be taken with caution in patients with kidney problems, long-term lung disease, or heart disease. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP should be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.
FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP should be used with caution in children from 1 to 12 years and infants less than 1 year. It should be used with caution in elderly patients (above 65 years of age). Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
The most common side effects of taking FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP are headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, stomach upset, and pain. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms get worse.

Directions of Use
Take FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Take it with food to reduce the chance of nausea and vomiting. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and the severity of the infection.
Do not stop using FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP unless your doctor tells you to. If you stop using FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP earlier than the doctor told you, the flu symptoms may come back. Always complete the course that your doctor prescribed.
