GLUCOBAY M 25MG TABLET is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients who have not sufficiently responded to either diet and exercise alone or after a combination of diet and exercise with other single oral antidiabetic medicines. It is a combination of Acarbose and Metformin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents.

GLUCOBAY M 25MG TABLET is not recommended for patients with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, severe liver disorders, kidney diseases, hernias, intestinal diseases, gastric diseases, type-1 diabetes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, weight loss, dehydration, severe infections in the lungs or kidney, acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, acute heart failure, or heart attack. Inform your doctor before any x-ray or scanning and if there are any pre-planned surgeries.

If you are a pregnant or a breastfeeding women, consult your doctor before taking the medicine. It is not recommended in children less than 16 years of age. The common side effects are flatulence, diarrhoea, stomach pain, upset stomach, loss of appetite, and changes in taste. Consult your doctor if any of your symptoms get worse or persist.
