Name:

Glycohale FB Rotacaps 30s

Formulation Type:

Rotacaps (capsules for inhalation via Rotahaler)

Therapeutic Use:

Used for managing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and improving lung function in patients with airflow obstruction.

Active Ingredients (Per Rotacap):

  • Budesonide (400 mcg):
A corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation and helps prevent breathing difficulties.
  • Formoterol Fumarate (12 mcg):
A long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles around the airways, making breathing easier.
  • Glycopyrronium (25 mcg):
An anticholinergic agent that prevents bronchoconstriction and improves airflow.

How It Works:

The combination works synergistically to open airways, reduce inflammation, and ease symptoms like breathlessness, wheezing, and coughing associated with COPD.

How to Use:

  1. Do not swallow the capsule.
  2. Insert the capsule into a Rotahaler (a special inhalation device).
  3. Twist the device until you hear a click, which breaks the capsule.
  4. Inhale deeply through the mouthpiece.
  5. Hold your breath for a few seconds (usually 10 seconds).
  6. If powder remains in the capsule, you may repeat the inhalation.

Dosage:

  • As directed by your physician, usually 1 Rotacap twice daily.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Common Side Effects:

  • Dry mouth
  • Throat irritation
  • Hoarseness or voice changes
  • Headache or dizziness
  • Oral thrush (rinse mouth after use to prevent)
  • Increased heart rate (occasionally)

Precautions:

  • Not recommended for children under 18 years.
  • Use with caution in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, or glaucoma.
  • Rinse mouth after each use to avoid fungal infections.
  • Inform your doctor if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other inhalers or medications.

Storage Instructions:

  • Store below 25°C in a dry place.
  • Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
