Haem UP Sugar-Free Liquid is a haematinic used to manage iron deficiency anaemia, weakness, lack of appetite, and convalescence (time spent over recovery from an illness) in affected individuals. It is also used in women during and after pregnancy to manage iron deficiency anaemia. It contains cupric sulphate, ferric ammonium citrate, folic acid, manganese sulphate, and cyanocobalamin as active ingredients which help to increase iron stores by aiding in the synthesis of red blood cells thus managing iron deficiency anaemia in affected individuals. 

Cupric sulphate is a sulfur acid which plays a role in the formation of red blood cells. Ferric ammonium citrate is an iron compound that aids in the formation of haemoglobin (iron-rich protein) which helps to increase iron stores in the blood thereby managing anaemia. Manganese sulphate is a mineral which aids in iron transport and maintains balance across cellular membranes thereby increasing iron reserves. Folic acid and cyanocobalamin are vitamins which help to synthesise red blood cells thus aiding in iron stores and managing anaemia in women during pregnancy.
