HISONE 10MG TABLET contains Hydrocortisone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. HISONE 10MG TABLET is used as a replacement therapy to replace insufficient adrenal hormone in the body that occurs due to inactive/underactive adrenal gland in affected individuals.

HISONE 10MG TABLET is also used to inhibit adrenocorticotropic hormone (chemical messenger responsible to regulate cortisol) when taken in combination with aminoglutethimide medicine for breast and prostate cancer. The medicine is also used to manage few types of illness and replace insufficient adrenal hormone after injury, surgery and/or other stressful events.

HISONE 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to hydrocortisone, certain foods, preservatives and/or dyes. It is also not recommended for use in patients with fungal infections (such as thrush, candida) and in patients who recently received/scheduled (for) vaccinations.

Before taking HISONE 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have/ever had severe depression, manic depression, septicaemia (life threatening infection), stomach ulcer, chicken pox/shingles, weakened immune system, high blood pressure, heart problems (such as heart attack, congestive heart disease), kidney and/or liver problems.

HISONE 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. It is also used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). The medicine can also be indicated for use in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.

The common side effect of taking HISONE 10MG TABLET is mental health problem. Consult your doctor if the symptom worsens.
