IMAX XT TABLET contains Ferrous ascorbate and Folic acid, which belong to the group of medicines called Hematinics. It is used to manage nutritional deficiency anaemia associated with iron and folic acid.

IMAX XT TABLET can also be used to manage anaemia occurring during pregnancy and breast feeding. Anemia is when your body can't produce enough hemoglobin (a substance in red blood cells that enables them to carry oxygen) due to insufficient iron.

IMAX XT TABLET is not recommended to be taken if you have any kidney or liver diseases, porphyria cutanea tarda, conditions affecting the iron level of your body, cobalamin deficiency, any malignant disease, inflammatory bowel disease, galactose intolerance, lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

It is not recommended to take IMAX XT TABLET if you are receiving frequent blood transfusions and parenteral iron therapy. IMAX XT TABLET is safe to take in pregnancy and breastfeeding; however, consult your doctor before taking it. Safety and efficacy of IMAX XT TABLET in children have not been established.

The most common side effects of taking IMAX XT TABLET are nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, and dark stools. It is recommended to consult the doctor if any of the symptoms worsen or persist for a longer duration.
