Lactonic Granules Elaichi Flavour is an ayurvedic medicine used in breastfeeding mothers to enhance lactation. It contains shatavari, ksheer vidari, yashtimadhu, safed jeera, palak, sowa and panchatrina mool as active ingredients that act as galactagogues (a substance that promotes or increases the flow of a mother's milk).

Shatavari may stimulate milk production by increasing prolactin, and also increase weight of mammary gland. Ksheer vidari can increase serum prolactin, protein content and glycogen of mammary gland.

Sowa contains linoleic acid and metabolites that are important to milk production, possesses oxytocic-like activity, may improve milk ejection, milk removal, and lightly stimulated mammary gland growth. Panchatrina mool possess galactagogue property.

Yashtimadhu mixed with cow's milk is traditionally used for promoting lactation. Palak contains potassium and vitamin A which is helpful in lactation. Safed jeera contain numerous flavonoids and terpenes and has been used as a galactagogue.
