LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET contains Lisinopril which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents. It is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. It also manages the onset of signs of symptoms of heart failure (such as difficulty in breathing, swollen ankles and feet or extreme tiredness even after a mild physical activity) and can reduce kidney damage in diabetic patients who have high blood pressure.

Before taking LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems (other than hypertension and heart failure). You must also inform your doctor if you have severe hypotension (low blood pressure), diabetes or are severely dehydrated due to any recent sickness (such as vomiting or diarrhea).

LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding due to increased risk of side effects. Stop taking LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET and inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while undergoing therapy with LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET.

LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET may cause dizziness while standing up suddenly or while changing positions, especially during the initial days of the therapy. Therefore, do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines as a precaution. Also, avoid consumption of alcohol as it could aggravate your dizziness.

Other most common side effects of taking LISTRIL 2.5MG TABLET are dizziness, headache, nausea and diarrhea. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.
