LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET contains Indapamide which belongs to the group of medicines called Thiazide like diuretics. It is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It can also be used alone or in combination with other medicines to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults.

Hypertension is a condition in which the force of the blood against the blood vessel wall is too high, resulting in early morning headaches, nosebleeds, irregular heartbeat, changes in vision, and buzzing in the ears.

Your doctor may advise to have a test to check how well your parathyroid gland is working and blood tests to check for low sodium or potassium levels or high calcium levels before taking LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET.

LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET should be avoided in patients with severe liver disease or conditions like hepatic encephalopathy (liver problems affect your brain and central nervous system), severe kidney disease and low level of potassium in blood.

Before taking LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have heart rhythm problems, diabetes, gout, muscle disorders, eye pain or decrease in vision due to choroidal effusion (fluid collection in the vascular layer of the eye) or earlier penicillin or sulphonamide allergy and are an athlete.

LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET is not recommended among pregnant and breastfeeding women. LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in children and need to be used with caution among elderly patients with impaired kidney function.

The most common side effect of taking LORVAS SR 1.5MG TABLET is skin rashes. Contact your doctor if the side effects gets worsen.
