LOTEGATE EYE DROPS is a combination of Gatifloxacin and Loteprednol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics and Corticosteroids respectively. It is used to manage eye inflammation and/or infection following eye surgery.
LOTEGATE EYE DROPS is for ophthalmic use only. Instil few drops of the medicine into the affected eye(s). Do not touch the tip of the dropper with your eye or other body surface to avoid contamination. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying LOTEGATE EYE DROPS and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.
Before using LOTEGATE EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you have glaucoma or any bleeding problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any eye infections as a precaution.
LOTEGATE EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in pregnant women and in breastfeeding women unless considered necessary by the physician. The most common side effects of using LOTEGATE EYE DROPS are blurred vision, eye irritation or burning sensation. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.

Directions of Use
Use LOTEGATE EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only.
Wash your hands before application. Tilt your head slightly backwards and place the tip of the container close to your eyes. Gently pull your lower eyelid and instil few drops of the medicine as directed by your physician.
Close your eyes and gently press the inner corner of your eye for 2 minutes. Repeat the same for the other eye if required.
Do not touch the tip of the container with your eyes, eyelids or areas around your eyes or fingers, to avoid contamination. After applying LOTEGATE EYE DROPS, leave a time gap of at least 5 minutes before applying other eye drops or ointment.
If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying LOTEGATE EYE DROPS and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and health condition.

Stop using LOTEGATE EYE DROPS and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
