LOTEL EYE DROPS contains Loteprednol which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to manage post-operative inflammation and pain following eye surgery.
Before using LOTEL EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you have glaucoma, any eye infection, or recently had cataract surgery. LOTEL EYE DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant women only if advised by the doctor. LOTEL EYE DROPS should be used with caution among breastfeeding mothers. LOTEL EYE DROPS should be used with caution in children (from birth to 11 years of age) and in elderly patients.
Your doctor may advise you to avoid contact lenses and monitor the pressure inside your eyes during management with LOTEL EYE DROPS. The most common side effects associated with use of LOTEL EYE DROPS are inflammation in the anterior chamber of the eye, eye pain and foreign body sensation in the eye. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms bothers you.

Directions of Use
Use LOTEL EYE DROPS as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Before using, wash your hands properly. Invert closed container and shake once to fill tip before instilling the medicine. Apply one to two drops of LOTEL EYE DROPS into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye for the time and duration specified by your doctor (preferably four times daily starting the day after surgery and continuing throughout the first 2 weeks of the post-operative period). Your doctor will decide the correct dose and time interval for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the condition.
