Lotepred 1% Eye Drop contains Loteprednol Etabonate, a corticosteroid used to treat inflammation and redness in the eyes caused by infections, allergies, or post-surgery.
How It Works:
Loteprednol Etabonate inhibits the release of substances that cause inflammation, thereby reducing swelling, redness, and irritation in the eyes.
Usage Instructions:
Dosage: As prescribed by your healthcare provider.
Administration:
- Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
- Shake the bottle well.
- Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instill the prescribed number of drops into the eye.
- Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes to allow absorption.
Frequency: Use as directed by your doctor, typically 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) four times daily.
Common Side Effects:
Temporary blurred vision
Stinging or burning sensation upon application
Dry or watery eyes
Feeling like something is in your eye
Increased sensitivity to light

Serious Side Effects:
Eye pain or swelling
