Maxepa Capsule is a fat-lowering supplement used to reduce the amount of fat (triglycerides) in the blood in those who have been told they may be at risk of heart disease or pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas). It contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) as active ingredients that help reduce fat levels.
The mechanism of omega-3 fatty acids to lower fat is still not fully known but is thought to do so by suppressing lipogenic gene expression, increasing beta-oxidation of fatty acids, increasing the expression of lipo-protein-lipase (LPL), and influencing total body lipid accumulation.
Take Maxepa Capsule exactly as advised by your physician. It is recommended to be used in adults only. Inform your doctor if you have non-insulin-dependent diabetes, aspirin-sensitive asthma, haemophilia, or any liver problems. Ask your doctor before taking it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Maxepa Capsule may cause nausea, vomiting, fishy after-taste, wind, skin reactions (Ex. acne, eczema), diarrhoea or constipation in some individuals. Consult your doctor if you notice any such effects while taking it.
