METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET contains Metoprolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensives. It is used in adults to manage essential hypertension (persistently high blood pressure, that can show symptoms like headache, sweating, fast heartbeat or throbbing sensation).
METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with certain heart diseases and should be used with caution in patients having liver diseases. METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding woman.
Safety and effectiveness of METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET in children (less than 6 years of age) have not been established so, consult your child's doctor for advice. METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET are tiredness, dizziness, depression, diarrhea, shortness of breath, slow heartbeat and rash. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms are not improving.

Directions of Use
Take METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow this medicine with water, do not crush or chew it. Correct dosage and duration of medicine to be taken will be prescribed by your doctor depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking METPURE XL 12.5MG TABLET unless your doctor advises you to stop.
