MINIRIN 0.1MG TABLET contains Desmopressin which belongs to the group of medicines called Synthetic antidiuretic peptide. It is used to manage cranial diabetes insipidus (occurs when there's not enough AVP in the body to regulate urine production). It also used to manage primary nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting from the age of 5) and nocturia in adults up to 65 years (night-time urine production exceeding bladder capacity).

Desmopressin works by reducing the amount of water that is eliminated in the urine. It enhances the reabsorption of water in the kidneys. Avoid drinking large amounts of water or fluid during this medication that leads to a build-up of water resulting in dilution of the salt in the body and may cause a serious problems or convulsions.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are dehydrated due to vomiting, diarrhea or systemic infections. There is an increased risk of pre-eclampsia during this medication, so inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. MINIRIN 0.1MG TABLET should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice.

The most common side effect of taking MINIRIN 0.1MG TABLET are headache, stomach pain swelling of ankles. Consult your doctor for advice if you experience the above side effects for a long duration.


Uses:

  1. cranial diabetes insipidus
  2. primary nocturnal enuresis
  3. nocturia (in adults up to 65 years of age)

Directions of Use

Always take MINIRIN 0.1MG TABLET as directed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you depending upon your condition. Avoid drinking large amounts of water while taking MINIRIN 0.1MG TABLET since it could lead to a build-up of water leading to serious problems or convulsions.

For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

For Mouth Dissolving Tablet: It should be placed under the tongue where it dissolves without the need for water.
