Misoquick-200 

Composition:
Each tablet contains Misoprostol 200 mcg.

Use:

• Used for medical termination of early pregnancy (up to 9 weeks or 63 days).
• Helps manage postpartum hemorrhage (excessive bleeding after childbirth).
• Also used in prevention and treatment of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers.

How it Works:
Misoprostol is a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analogue. It causes the uterus to contract and the cervix to soften, which helps in expelling pregnancy tissue. In stomach protection, it reduces acid secretion and increases mucus lining, protecting the stomach wall.

How to Use:

• Should be taken only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare provider.
• Usually given in a specific dose schedule depending on the medical indication.
• For pregnancy termination, it is often used after a dose of Mifepristone.
• Can be taken orally, vaginally, or buccally as per medical advice.
• Swallow with water; do not crush or chew.

Side Effects:

• Abdominal cramps
• Diarrhea
• Nausea and vomiting
• Vaginal bleeding (may be heavy)
• Headache or dizziness
• Fever or chills
• In rare cases, incomplete abortion or infection

Precautions:

• Not to be used without a confirmed intrauterine pregnancy and medical supervision.
• Not recommended for use in patients with known allergies to prostaglandins.
• Avoid in patients with inflammatory bowel disease or cardiovascular disorders without doctor’s advice.
• Not recommended during breastfeeding unless prescribed.
• Women must avoid pregnancy immediately after treatment unless advised.

Storage:
Store below 25°C in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children.

Note:
