• Tirzepatide 2.5 mg/0.6 ml

Description:
Mounjaro KwikPen is an injectable medicine used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It belongs to the class of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. It helps lower blood sugar by increasing insulin release, reducing glucose production in the liver, and slowing digestion.

Uses:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Improves blood sugar control along with diet and exercise
• May help in weight management in diabetic patients

Dosage / How to Use:

• Given as a subcutaneous injection once weekly
• Inject in thigh, abdomen, or upper arm as directed by doctor
• Dose should be taken on the same day each week
• Use the pen only once; do not share with others

Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
• Decreased appetite
• Abdominal pain
• Low blood sugar (especially if used with other diabetes medicines)
• Rarely, pancreatitis or allergic reaction

Precautions:

• Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
• Use with caution in patients with kidney, liver, or gastrointestinal disease
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed
• Inform doctor about all ongoing medications before use

Storage:

• Store unused pens in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). Do not freeze.
• After first use, can be kept at room temperature for up to 21 days.
