MUCOMIX ET 600MG contains Acetyl Cysteine which belongs to the group of medicines called Mucolytics. It is used in adults to manage acute airway diseases such as bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes which carries air to the lungs), emphysema (disorder affecting the alveoli (tiny air sacs) of the lungs), mucoviscidosis (inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system) and bronchiectasis (condition in which the lung airways become damaged and making it hard to clear the mucus).

MUCOMIX ET 600MG is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to acetylcysteine. It is also not recommended for use in patients with bronchial asthma. Before taking MUCOMIX ET 600MG, inform your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, liver diseases (such as non-alcoholic fatty acid disease) and chronic kidney disease.

It should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly advised by the doctor. MUCOMIX ET 600MG is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age) and it should be used with caution in elderly patients.

The most common side effects associated with the use of MUCOMIX ET 600MG are nausea and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.

  1. to manage airway diseases (such as bronchitis, emphysema, mucoviscidosis and bronchiectasis)

Directions of Use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mucomix -ET Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side effects

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them
