Myatro Eye Drops 5ml, containing Myatro 0.01% Eye Drop (Atropine), is prescribed for eye conditions like myopia (nearsightedness) in children. Myopia causes blurred distant vision while close objects remain clear. This medicine is primarily used to manage the progression of myopia in pediatric patients.

Myatro Eye Drops 5ml should preferably be used only in the affected eye, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. The precise dose and duration of treatment will depend on the type and severity of the eye condition. Always follow the dose, timing, and method prescribed by your doctor.

It is crucial to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water both before and after applying Myatro Eye Drops 5ml to help prevent the risk of infection. To administer the drops, have your child lie down, look up, and slightly to the side. Ensure your child remains still and calm during application. Gently pull down the lower eyelid, direct the drops away from the nose, and place the medicine into the lower eyelid. Afterward, ask your child to keep their eyes closed for a short period to allow proper absorption and prevent spillage.

Advise your child not to rub their eyes immediately after application, as this can lead to redness or irritation. Children should avoid wearing contact lenses while undergoing treatment with Myatro Eye Drops 5ml, as the medicine may harm the lenses. Do not discontinue the medicine abruptly on your own, even if your child starts to feel better. Continue the full course as prescribed. If you have any questions or concerns, consult your child's doctor.

This medicine may cause some minor and temporary side effects such as blurry vision, sensitivity to light (photophobia), decreased tear production, eye irritation, and a stinging sensation in the eyes. These symptoms usually diminish after a few doses. However, if these side effects persist or become troublesome for your child, report them to the doctor without delay.

It is important to provide your child's doctor with their complete medical history, including any past allergic reactions, heart conditions, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomalies, gastrointestinal issues, skin disorders, liver impairment, or kidney dysfunction. This information is vital for determining the correct dosage and planning your child's overall treatment.
