Before starting Nexup D3 Capsule, it is important to inform your doctor if you have any heart conditions, narrowing of the arteries, sarcoidosis (a chronic inflammatory condition affecting various organs), or if you are currently taking other medicines or supplements that contain vitamin D. Use Nexup D3 Capsule with caution if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as too much vitamin D can potentially harm your baby. This medicine is generally suitable for children and adolescents aged 12 years and older. Side effects
While generally well-tolerated when taken as prescribed, Nexup D3 Capsule (Cholecalciferol) can sometimes lead to side effects, particularly if the dosage is too high or if taken for prolonged periods without medical supervision. The most common adverse effects are related to elevated calcium levels in the body.
Potential side effects may include:
- Increased calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcaemia), which might cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, stomach ache, feeling excessively thirsty, muscle weakness, drowsiness, or confusion.
- Increased calcium levels in the urine (hypercalciuria).
