NS (ALKEM) IV INFUSION contains Sodium chloride which belongs to the group of medicines called Electrolytes. It is used to replace the loss of sodium from the body. It can also be used to make up medicines that may be injected into your body and also used to irrigate the surfaces of your body. It can also be given as a priming solution before blood or other medicines are given to your body.

Before receiving NS (ALKEM) IV INFUSION, inform your doctor if you have diabetes (high blood sugar), increased blood pressure during pregnancy and fluid retention.

NS (ALKEM) IV INFUSION should be used with caution in patients having heart disease or heart failure. Consult your doctor before receiving it.

It should be used with caution in patients having impaired kidney function. Consult your doctor before receiving it. NS (ALKEM) IV INFUSION should be used with caution among women who are pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.

The most common side effects of receiving NS (ALKEM) IV INFUSION are pain at the site of injection and dehydration of internal organs. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.
