OLMAT AM 40MG TABLET is used for the management of high blood pressure among patients who remain unresponsive to therapy with either olmesartan or amlodipine alone. It is a combination of Amlodipine and Olmesartan, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents.

During management with OLMAT AM 40MG TABLET, your doctor might check your kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolyte (Ex. potassium) concentration in your blood at regular intervals to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects. Avoid consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking the medicine, as it could lead to an unpredictable decrease in blood pressure. Before taking OLMAT AM 40MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart disease. It is not recommended in early pregnancy and must not be taken if you are more than 3 months pregnant, as it may cause serious harm to your baby if used at that stage.

It is not recommended for mothers who are breast-feeding, and your doctor may choose another treatment for you if you wish to breast-feed, especially if your baby is newborn, or was born prematurely. OLMAT AM 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged under 18 years) due to a lack of safety data. It should be taken with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or older). The most common side effects are headache, dizziness, tiredness, edema, sore throat, and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
