Ovuloc LD Tablet is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing two hormones:
- Desogestrel (0.15 mg): A progestogen.
- Ethinyl Estradiol (0.02 mg): An estrogen.
This combination is primarily used to prevent pregnancy and regulate menstrual cycles.
Uses:
- Contraception: Prevents ovulation and alters the uterine lining to reduce the likelihood of pregnancy.
- Menstrual Regulation: Helps in making periods more regular and less painful.
Dosage and Administration:
- Dosage: One tablet daily, taken at the same time each day, typically for 21 consecutive days followed by a 7-day pill-free interval.
- Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water; it can be taken with or without food.
