PERNIL 5% CREAM contains Permethrin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-parasitic agents. It is indicated for the management of scabies, pediculosis (lice) and crab louse infections.
Scabies is a condition that cause itchy skin caused by a tiny burrowing mite called Sarcoptes scabiei. It can cause intense itching in the area where the mite burrows.
PERNIL 5% CREAM is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to chrysanthemums (a flower). PERNIL 5% CREAM should be used with caution in patients having lung diseases and eczema (skin disease).
It is not recommended for use in infants below 2 months of age and should be used with caution in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
PERNIL 5% CREAM is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult with your doctor before using.
The most common side effects of using PERNIL 5% CREAM are itching, redness of skin, tingling, prickling, skin burning sensation and dry skin. Ask for your doctor's advice if any of these worsen or persists for a longer duration.

Directions of Use
Always apply PERNIL 5% CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. The medicine should be applied on all the affected areas. Your doctor will give the right dose depends on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Wash hands before and after the application of PERNIL 5% CREAM. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including eyelids, nose and mouth.
