Phostat Tablet is a calcium supplement used for the reduction of serum phosphorus in patients with end stage kidney disease. It contains calcium acetate as an active ingredient that helps reduce phosphorous levels.

Calcium acetate acts as a phosphate binder that combines with dietary phosphate to form an insoluble calcium phosphate complex, which is excreted in the faeces, resulting in decreased serum phosphorus levels.
