PICLIN ORAL SOLUTION contains Sodium picosulfate which belongs to the group of medicines called Laxatives. It is used for short-term relief of functional constipation. Constipation is defined as fewer than three bowel movements a week, stools that are hard, dry, lumpy, difficult, or painful to pass.

Your doctor might advise you to take a rich fibre diet, have more fluid intake, and do regular exercise. PICLIN ORAL SOLUTION is not recommended for use in patients with severe dehydration, ileus, gastrointestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal ulceration, or perforation.

Avoid the consumption of alcohol during management with this medicine. It is also not recommended if you have appendicitis, acute inflammatory bowel diseases, or severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting.

PICLIN ORAL SOLUTION should be used with caution in patients with liver disease or epilepsy. It should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. PICLIN ORAL SOLUTION is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

PICLIN ORAL SOLUTION should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of taking PICLIN ORAL SOLUTION are diarrhoea, abdominal pain, cramps, or discomfort. Do consult your physician if any of the side effects worsen.
