PLANOKUF COUGH SYRUP is a combination of Chlorpheniramine and Codeine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines and Cough suppressants respectively. It is used to manage dry cough associated with allergic rhinitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis and tuberculosis. This medicine also provides relief from the cough or similar upper respiratory symptoms associated with allergy or common cold.

It is not recommended to take PLANOKUF COUGH SYRUP in pregnant and breast-feeding mothers unless it is clearly necessary. This medicine is not recommended to take PLANOKUF COUGH SYRUP if you have close angle glaucoma (increases pressure inside eyes), stomach or duodenal ulcers, urine retention or asthmatic attacks. PLANOKUF COUGH SYRUP should be taken with caution in patients with liver and kidney diseases.

PLANOKUF COUGH SYRUP should not be given to children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The most common side effects of taking PLANOKUF COUGH SYRUP includes sedation, drowsiness, deep sleep, tiredness, dizziness, difficulty to concentrate, low blood pressure, lack of muscle control, nausea, constipation, dry mouth, diarrhoea, stomach pain, heaviness in chest, ringing in ears, poor appetite. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsens or persists for a longer duration.
