POTRATE 10MG TABLET contains Potassium citrate which belongs to the group of medicines known as Urinary alkalinizers. It is used in management of renal tubular acidosis (accumulation of acids due to decreased kidney functions) with calcium stones, uric acid lithiasis (uric acid stone formation) with or without calcium stones, hypocitraturic calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis (calcium oxalate stones) of any cause.

POTRATE 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with chronic kidney disease, heart disease such as heart failure or severe myocardial damage, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, acute dehydration, adrenal insufficiency, delayed gastric emptying, extensive tissue breakdown, oesophageal compression, intestinal obstruction or narrowing, peptic ulcer disease, active urinary tract infection. POTRATE 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart block. Consult your doctor before taking it.
