Rablet D Capsule is a combination medicine containing Domperidone and Rabeprazole. This medication is primarily used to manage Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) in patients who have not responded sufficiently to Rabeprazole alone. GERD is a common condition where stomach acid flows back into the food pipe, causing symptoms like heartburn, chest pain, nausea, a sensation of a lump in the throat, and stomach discomfort.

Additionally, Rablet D Capsule can be prescribed for the management of peptic ulcers, which are painful sores in the lining of the stomach, esophagus, or intestines, often caused by H. pylori infection or NSAID use. Symptoms of peptic ulcers include stomach pain, flatulence, indigestion, vomiting, and fatigue. While taking Rablet D Capsule, it's beneficial to consume less spicy foods, drink plenty of water, and avoid smoking or alcohol, as these can worsen your condition.

If you are on long-term therapy with Rablet D Capsule, your doctor will monitor you for potential risks such as hypomagnesaemia (low magnesium levels in the blood) and bone fractures, especially in elderly patients or those with existing risk factors. Before starting Rablet D Capsule, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart conditions. Your doctor may adjust your dose or recommend an alternative treatment. This medicine is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or children under 18 years of age. It should be used with caution in elderly patients over 65 years. Common side effects of Rablet D Capsule include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, or constipation. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen.

Uses:

  1. Management of Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) in patients who have not responded adequately to rabeprazole therapy alone.
  2. Treatment of peptic ulcers caused by factors like H. pylori infection or NSAID use.

Directions of Use

Take Rablet D Capsule exactly as instructed by your physician. Swallow the entire capsule with a glass of water, without crushing or chewing it. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration of treatment for you, based on your age, body weight, and the severity of your condition.

Side effects

Stop taking Rablet D Capsule and contact your doctor immediately if you experience signs of kidney damage (such as dark urine, blood in urine, painful urination, or lower abdominal discomfort), or any other severe or persistent side effects.
