Carboxymethylcellulose 1% w/v
Refresh Liquigel Eye Drops 1% w/v is an eye lubricant, often referred to as artificial tears, used to relieve the discomfort of dry eyes. This condition occurs when your eyes don't produce enough tears to stay properly lubricated. Containing Carboxymethylcellulose 1% w/v, this eye drop helps soothe irritation and burning sensations by maintaining adequate moisture on the eye surface.
Use Refresh Liquigel Eye Drops 1% w/v exactly as advised by your doctor. Typically, it is used as needed. If you are using other eye medications, wait at least 5-10 minutes between applications to prevent dilution. Do not use the bottle if the protective seal is broken upon opening. Always wash your hands thoroughly before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, as this can contaminate the solution and lead to an eye infection. This medicine is generally safe for long-term use, as directed by your healthcare professional.
Common side effects associated with Refresh Liquigel Eye Drops 1% w/v include mild eye irritation (such as burning or discomfort), eye pain, itching, and temporary visual disturbance. These effects are usually temporary and tend to resolve over time. However, if they persist or worsen, inform your doctor. After using this eye drop, avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing tasks that require clear vision until your eyesight returns to normal. Consult your doctor if your dry eye condition does not improve or if the side effects become bothersome.
Refresh Liquigel Eye Drops 1% w/v is generally not known to interact significantly with other medicines, but it's important to tell your doctor about all medications you are currently using, especially if you have a history of glaucoma. Do not use this eye drop while wearing soft contact lenses; remove them before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. If you develop an eye infection while using Carboxymethylcellulose eye drops, contact your doctor immediately.'
